A modular DMS plant typically arrives as a set of pre-assembled modules that include the dense medium circuit, media recovery (magnetic separation), densification, screening and associated pumps, piping and controls. Capacities are often offered in standardised ranges so that projects can start with a single module and add parallel capacity later.

For projects evaluating modular DMS, early attention should be given to ore characterisation (near-density material, size distribution, and clay content), water and media management, and the intended operating philosophy. When these fundamentals are sound, modular DMS plants offer a reliable route to efficient density separation with controlled capital exposure and shorter schedules.
